Tickets Still Available for The Temptations and The Four Tops at Hoosier Park on July 1
Anderson, Ind.—June 29, 2017— Motown legends The Temptations and The Four Tops are set to perform live at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Saturday, July 1 as a part of the Sounds of Summer outdoor concert series presented by Bud Light. Tickets are still available and can be purchased through www.ticketmaster.com or at Hoosier Park’s box office in Shelby’s Gifts.
The Temptations are an American vocal group known for their success with Motown Records in the 1960s and 1970s. Popular for their choreography, harmonies and wardrobe, The Temptations are a brand and reputation that has lasted more than half a century. The group will perform greatest hits like The Way You Do the Things You Do, My Girl and Ain’t Too Proud to Beg.
The Four Tops are an American vocal quartet from Detroit who helped define the city’s Motown scene in the 1960s. From soul music, R&B, disco, adult contemporary, doo-wop, jazz, and show tunes, The Four Tops have been putting on shows for fans for more than fifty years. The Four Tops will perform many of their hits on the Hoosier Park outdoor stage, including Baby I Need Your Loving, It’s The Same Old Song, and Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever.
“It’s exciting for us to bring back The Temptations and The Four Tops for the second time at Hoosier Park,” said Becky Young, Hoosier Park’s vice president of marketing. “Our guests really enjoyed their timeless, energetic Motown sounds and this encore is certainly going to be one of our best shows yet.”
The summer concert lineup will continue on Friday, July 21 with country star Billy Currington, best known for his number one hits like It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To, People Are Crazy, and I’m Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer.
And, American rocker Ted Nugent will close out the summer concert series on Saturday, August 12. Nugent, known as a powerful, high-decibel solo artist, has released more than 34 albums and sold a career total of 30 million records over the course of nearly six decades. Most popular for hard rock hits like Cat Scratch Fever, Stranglehold, and the 1990 Damn Yankees’ chartbuster hit High Enough, Nugent is currently on a U.S. tour playing more than 45 shows this summer including concerts at the world-famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth, and B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in New York City.
Hoosier Park will also celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with a free outdoor performance by The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and the area’s most spectacular fireworks show choreographed to the summer’s greatest hits on Tuesday, July 4, following live harness racing.
The 2017 Sounds of Summer concert series is presented by Bud Light and sponsored by Piazza Produce, Deem, Buffalo Trace, American Elevator, The Herald Bulletin, Modern Trailer Sales, Bacardi, Gigi’s Cupcakes, and Hudson Rental. All concerts start at 9:00 p.m. and will take place on Hoosier Park’s outdoor music center stage, which accommodates up to 4,500 reserved ticket seats.
