Jim Brown, General Manager of Gaming

As General Manager, Jim Brown is responsible for gaming and all related operations at Hoosier Park.

Jim brings more than 25 years of gaming experience to Centaur, Inc., and Hoosier Park – including solid operating experience in multiple jurisdictions. He also has direct experience in overall facility planning, development and construction, including oversight of multiple opening and expansion-related projects.

Most recently, Jim served as President and General Manager of Casino Aztar in Evansville, Ind. Jim held this position for 12 years, opening Indiana’s first casino gaming facility in 1995. Prior to joining Centaur, Jim was employed for more than 20 years by Aztar Corporation. With Aztar, he held senior management positions at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, as well as Ramada Express Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, NV.

Jim served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Casino Association of Indiana from 2002 through 2007. He has a Bachelor of Science in Management and Administration from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

Rick Moore, General Manager of Racing

A native of Park Hills, Ky., Rick Moore became involved with horse racing as a $2 Show seller at Latonia Trots. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Rick accepted a position as Assistant Mutuel Manager at Remington Park in Oklahoma City. He returned to the Kentucky racing scene in 1991 when he was named Director of Mutuels for Churchill Downs. He was later promoted to General Manager of the Sports Spectrum in Louisville, a position he held until coming to Hoosier Park. Rick was named Executive Vice President and General Manager in 1994. He later assumed duties as President and General Manager and now serves as General Manager of Racing for the track.
