HOOSIER PARK ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL 2017 BREEDERS CROWN CHARITY BENEFICIARIES AND ART-RAGEOUS SHOW AND AUCTION

Hoosier Park Racing & Casino has announced its official charities for the 2017 Breeders Crown on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 at Hoosier Park. In celebration of the 34th edition of the championship series, Hoosier Park and Anderson Community Schools are joining together for an ART-Rageous show and auction benefitting the four official charities:

THE STANDARDBRED RETIREMENT FOUNDATION

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation dedicates their time to the saving, rehabilitation, are, and focus on lifetime adoption of non-competitive racehorses.

THE HARNESS HORSE YOUTH FOUNDATION

The Harness Horse Youth Foundation is devoted to providing educational opportunities to the next generation of harness horse participants and fans. 

NEW VOCATIONS RACEHORSE ADOPTION

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption is an organization ascribed to providing retired racehorses a safety net through rehabilitation, education, and placement in caring homes. 

THE ANIMAL PROTECTION LEAGUE

The Animal Protection League is committed to making second chances possible through the human and animal connection with a compassionate and humane treatment for all types of animals. The organization is central the rescue and care of homeless domestic animals in the Madison County, Indiana area. 

From paintings and sculptures to glasswork and woodwork, Anderson Community Schools’ finest young artists will be creating priceless pieces of art to be showcased both at Hoosier Park and in an online auction beginning Monday, Oct. 9 through the Breeders Crown on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28.
