Hoosier Park to Host Preakness Stakes Live Simulcast and Family Fun Saturday

Hoosier Park Racing & Casino is set to present an action-packed evening of live racing along with a live simulcast of the 143rd running of the Preakness Stakes from Pimlico Race Course on Saturday, May 19. Coverage of the event will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the running of the Preakness Stakes beginning at 6:48 p.m. Live racing at Hoosier Park will start with a special post time of 7:10 p.m.

Known as the second jewel of the Triple Crown, the $1.5 million Preakness Stakes is preceded by the Kentucky Derby and followed by the Belmont Stakes, held on June 9 this year. Advance wagering for the Preakness Stakes will be available at Hoosier Park beginning on Thursday, May 17.

Also featured on Saturday, Hoosier Park will host a Psychic Fair Fundraiser to benefit the Animal Protection League (APL) of Anderson, Ind. The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the lower level grandstands at Hoosier Park. Guests who donate $10 to APL during the event will receive a free psychic reading. All proceeds will go to the Animal Protection League.

Guests are also invited to enjoy Hoosier Park’s Family Fun Zone featuring face painting, live entertainment, games and fun with Hoosier Buddy, the official Hoosier Park mascot. The Family Fun Zone is a part of Hoosier Park’s Saturday activities throughout the live racing season.

Hoosier Park is offering Club Centaur members double points on all Indiana Grand and Hoosier Park races throughout the evening. Guests must be 18 to wager on racing.

Live racing at Hoosier Park will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and be conducted through November 10. The 2018 season is highlighted by the 25th edition of the $300,000 Dan Patch Stakes on Friday, August 10.
