Hoosier Park to Host Annual Team Member Community Connections Health Fair
ANDERSON, Ind.—Oct. 5, 2017—Hoosier Park Racing & Casino is set to host the annual Team Member Community Connections Health Fair on Monday, October 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Hoosier Park’s Family Fun Zone. The event, also open to the public, will feature more than 50 vendors offering a variety of exclusive discounts, free screenings, and more.
Included in the health fair’s offerings are full lipid panel (cholesterol test), A1C (blood sugar), blood pressure check, bone density screenings, a balance test, hearing test, flu shots, and more. Visitors will also have the ability to learn about local non-profit organizations that can assist with family-related health care and planning.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our team members as well as members of the community to take advantage of a free wellness check-up and health screening,” said Holly Petree, Hoosier Park’s benefit & wellness manager. “The Fall Health Fair offers individuals a chance to meet one-on-one with health care providers and gain important health-related information for themselves and their families.”
Additionally, throughout the day, an on-site navigator will be available to assist with questions regarding personal medical insurance.
Several area organizations will participate in the event including American Foundation For Suicide Prevention-Indiana Chapter, Second Harvest Food Bank, Madison County Health Department, Harrison College, Christina Wroblewski-Madden Family Dentistry, Community Hospital, St. Vincent, Weight Watchers, YMCA, and more.
